About

I have been running since 1996. What began as curiosity gradually turned into a long practice of training and learning. My professional background includes telecommunications, software, web development, and education, and these experiences shaped how I think about running with structure, curiosity, and respect for evidence. Over the years I have spent a great deal of time reading beyond surface advice and exploring research, physiology, and training theory.

I have also been part of a close circle of runners that includes serious amateurs and former athletes. In that environment discussion often mattered as much as mileage. I often helped friends prepare for races, adjust their training, and work through specific challenges. Not as a formal coach, but simply as someone who enjoys thinking through problems and supporting steady progress. I have also been involved in organizing local half marathons and trail races, which gave me the opportunity to see events from the inside.

Runera grew out of thoughts that kept returning during long runs. Questions about training, fatigue, pacing, and how runners actually improve over time. Writing became a way to explore those ideas more clearly and share them with others who think about running in the same way.
